PRSL’s team of former football players brought decades of experience playing at the highest level, representing Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Brazil, Mexico, Portugal, and the U.S. We have World Cup and international competition experience across the Board. These combined experiences allowed PRSL to extend its ambitions and goals well beyond our 100X35 and onto Brazil, Mexico, Spain, the U.S., Colombia, the Middle East, Africa, and so on, and develop a Master Plan that includes the crossownership of teams with investments abroad, and vice versa, with the investment of equity and sweat from groups in the U.S., Brazil, Mexico, Spain, and of course, Puerto Rico.
One major bridge, instrumental to the success of the PRSL 2.0 Plan – RUMBO AL MUNDIAL 2026 – is the crossownership between the Puerto Rico Soccer League and Players Rio Grande do Sul (Porto Alegre, Brazil). PRS FC’s system and its accomplishments are replicable in Puerto Rico, and Puerto Rico’s most talented players and coaches will benefit from this union, being able to move back and forth between Puerto Rico, Brazil, Mexico, the U.S., and Europe because it is all one big family.
PRS FC is guided by Edmilson Neves Da Silva, or Coach Edmilson Silva. Coach Edmilson Silva coaches in Brazil, until his imminent move to Puerto Rico with his family in 2021. Coach Edmilson Silva led Club Sportivo Sergipe and leads Players Rio Grande do Sul – PRS FC, in Porto Alegre, Brazil, played professional football with União Madeira (Portugal), Flamengo (Brazil), and in the Middle East. He recently coached Club Sportivo Sergipe to win the Copa Sergipana (2018), and has trained players who played and play in Brazil’s First, Serie A in Italy, Primeira in Portugal, Sweden, Korea, Middle East, and more. The bridge that PRS FC offers to PRSL’s players and coaches is the immediate exchange opportunity, and what that represents. The exposure to more and better international challenges will result in better players coming back and passing it on.
Iron sharpens iron.
"Our alliance and synergy allow Puerto Rico’s top players to be part of a system that takes care of the players, because it was developed by former professional players, and is operated by true football professionals. The system works. We have placed many talented players in First Division leagues worldwide. Roger Ibañez, for example, is currently playing with Roma in Serie A; João Vitor plays in Korea, Hiago plays in Sweden, and so on, all in First Division.
Edmilson Neves Da Silva (Edmilson Silva) is a 50-year-old Brazilian football coach (Club Sportivo Sergipe and Players Rio Grande do Sul – PRS FC, in Porto Alegre, Brazil), former professional football player (União Madeira (Portugal) and Flamengo (Brazil), and coached Club Sportivo Sergipe to win the Copa Sergipana in 2018.
Our goals are clear, our Partners are competent and diligent, and private funding allows for stadiums and players developments to proceed without the financial hurdles that Federations and clubs that depend on non-profits and municipal funds must face. I am excited to be part of this movement that will transform Puerto Rico’s football forever. Once Puerto Rico’s top players become mundialistas in 2026, the sky’s the limit."
